Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts (www.banyantree.com) is a leading, international hospitality brand that manages and develops premium resorts, hotels and spas, and Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali, is the latest addition to the group.

In December 2009, Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts unveiled their exclusive Banyan Tree Ungasan in the island of Bali. The specially commissioned property is one of the most luxurious and private pool villa resorts in the world. Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali is located on Bali's southernmost peninsula, high on the cliffs near the Uluwatu Temple. The resort was designed to offer absolute privacy and seclusion; yet, it is just minutes away from Nusa Dua, Ngurah Rai International Airport and the thriving beaches of Kuta, Seminyak and Sanur.

Designed to cater for discerning guests, Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali needs the very best and most reliable communications systems.

Pak Gunawan, Project Manager of PT. Siti Agung Makmur, commented that "VIP guests would expect to be able to make and take telephone calls from anywhere on the resort which covers an area of two square kilometers, so the IP telephony network has to be capable of covering this area reliably. It is with this very stringent requirement that Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali chose PT. Teledata Indonesia in Oct 2007 as its technology partner to install and commission Alcatel-Lucent's OmniPCX Enterprise IP Telephony, OmniSwitch Network Infrastructure and Potevio Structured Cabling (Cat 5E) system to provide the perfect solution for a fully managed and integrated wired/wireless communications system.

The centralized control provided by Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise system means that the entire network is secure and very easy to manage. Indeed the system has all the advanced features that the Banyan Tree Ungasan needs to meet the high expectations of its guests.

PT Teledata Indonesia's experience in providing communications systems for hotels and resorts has been significant factor in ensuring the successful implementation of the Alcatel-Lucent and Potevio solutions. In addition to the central Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise and OmniSwitch devices, a total of 80 OmniStack Ethernet switches, 200 OmniAccess wireless LAN access points and 200 Alcatel- Lucent IP phones have been installed to provide telephony, Internet and data connectivity right across the Banyan Tree Ungasan resort.
